EU Council Recognizes Georgia's European Perspective

The Council of the European Union has decided to recognize Georgia's European perspective and is ready to grant it candidate status as soon as the set priorities are met.

European Council President Charles Michel congratulates the Georgian people on Twitter.

"I congratulate the Georgian people. This is a historic moment in EU-Georgia relations: Georgia's future lies in the EU," Michel wrote.
