Economy Minister: No Grounds for Panic, but We have to Ban Direct Flights from China

Georgia will ban direct flights from China amid coronavirus outbreak in China, Georgian Economy Minster Natia Turnava noted.

There are no grounds for panic in Georgia, however, the direct flights between China and Georgia will be suspended temporarily, she noted.

“First fo all, various government offices are united into one coordination group to carry out necessary preventive measures. Passengers from China are examined.

I think we have to take a decision on suspending direct flights from China, despite we have no grounds for panic in Georgia. This decision is necessary to stay calm”, Natia Turnava noted.
