Demand for Georgian Natural Honey is Increasing in the European Union

The demand for Georgian natural honey is increasing, and the main export market is the European Union.

In January-July, 486 thousand dollars worth of honey was exported, 22% more than in the same period last year.

Despite France being the leader in terms of value, Bulgaria received the highest amount of the sold honey. The export price of Georgian honey in Bulgaria is about 2.89 dollars, and in France, it is 5.8 dollars.

It should be noted that in 2021, 172 tons of natural honey worth 652,210 dollars were exported from Georgia, and in 2020 this figure was only 122,550 dollars (21 tons).
