Davit Songulashvili Meets President of the Japan-Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JGCCI)
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Davit Songulashvili, met with Tadaharu Uehara, President of the Japan-Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JGCCI).
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries, particularly the potential for increasing exports of Georgian wine to the Japanese market.
“It’s always a pleasure to meet with an old and good friend of our country. I would like to thank you for your efforts in raising Georgia’s visibility during your tenure as Ambassador to Japan. We remember your support, and I believe we will continue to build on our mutually beneficial and effective cooperation,” said Minister Songulashvili.
The Japan-Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JGCCI) aims to deepen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations, fostering investment, knowledge exchange, and improved access to markets.
“I have many fond memories associated with Georgia. I remember the heartfelt friendship and warm relationships. Accordingly, I want the Japan-Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry to serve as a bridge that will support the economic rapprochement of our countries,” stated Tadaharu Uehara.
The meeting at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture was attended by Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency, and other senior officials from the ministry.
