Charles Michel Criticizes Georgia's "Transparency of Foreign Influence" Bill as Detrimental to EU Aspirations
President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has voiced criticism over Georgia's "Transparency of Foreign Influence" bill on social media. Michel highlighted that the Georgian people have clearly chosen a European path, a decision that was recognized last December when the European Council awarded Georgia the status of an EU candidate.

I must clearly state that the draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence does not align with Georgia's aspirations for European integration or its accession trajectory. Instead of bringing Georgia closer to Europe, it will only serve to distance it," Michel stated.
