Carl Hartzell: No One Understands Situation in Ukraine Better than Georgians

The European Union condemns Russia's military aggression in Ukraine, EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell told the media.

Carl Hartzell arrived at the meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia to express solidarity.

"The European Union condemns Russia's military aggression in Ukraine. We have already taken action in response to the previous part of this process. This evening, EU leaders will meet to assess the situation and decide on further measures," the EU ambassador said.

According to Hartzell, Georgia understands the situation in Ukraine best.

"I think no one understands the situation of the population of Ukraine better than the Georgian population, given the events of 2008. We express our solidarity with Ukraine, "said EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell.
