Applications Reopen for “Program for Promoting Entrepreneurship in High-Mountain Settlements”
The Rural Development Agency will reopen the application process for the “Program for Promoting Entrepreneurship in High-Mountain Settlements” on July 29 at 12:00, until the program's allocated budget of 2.7 million GEL is fully utilized.
Initial applications were accepted on July 8, but several were rejected after review due to non-compliance with program criteria. In response, the Agency has decided to reannounce the call for applications to ensure broader access.
Under the state program, co-financing for each eligible beneficiary ranges from 30,000 GEL to 100,000 GEL, covering up to 50% of the total project cost. Additionally, young entrepreneurs and agricultural cooperatives are eligible for an extra 10% co-financing benefit. At the time of application, the total cost of the submitted project must not exceed 500,000 GEL.
The program supports a wide range of agricultural (excluding primary production) and non-agricultural activities, including storage and processing enterprises, wineries, small family hotels, catering facilities, and other eligible business ventures—excluding those restricted by the program guidelines.
The aim of the initiative is to foster private sector development, encourage youth entrepreneurship, and support job creation and economic growth in Georgia’s high-mountain regions through targeted co-financing.
