Apple Export Volume from Georgia Increased by 54% in February

The volume of apple exports from Georgia increased by 54% in February, while the export value rose by 86% ($1.4 million), according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

As of February 28 this year, Georgia exported 4.1 thousand tons of apples worth $3.1 million. Both export volumes and average export prices have shown a steady increase.

The average export price of apples reached $0.73 per kilogram, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. In February alone, the average export price increased by 21%, reaching $0.76 per kilogram.

Russia remains the main export destination for Georgian apples, with 15,083 tons exported. Additionally, 665 tons were exported to Turkey, 150 tons to Belarus, 110 tons to Armenia, and 44 tons to other countries.
