Annual Inflation Reached 6.1% in March
Georgia's annual inflation rate stood at 6.1% in March, and 0.7% for the month.
Price changes in the following groups were influenced by the formation of annual inflation:
Food and non-alcoholic beverages: Group prices rose 13.4% year-on-year,
Inflation was 4.18%.
Prices rose for the following groups: fruits and grapes (29.7%), milk, cheese and eggs (18.9%), sugar, jam and other sweets (14.8%), meat and meat products (14.7%), vegetables and vegetables (12.5%) , mineral and spring water, non-alcoholic beverages and natural juices (10.2%), oil and fat (9.1%), fish (8%), bread and bread products (7%), coffee, tea and cocoa (5.4%);
Hotels, Cafes and Restaurants: Prices increased by 8.9% during the period,
Consequently, the group's contribution to the annual index was 0.4%. Pricing
There was an increase in public catering (10.3%), while prices declined overnight
On-line services (-2.1%);
Miscellaneous Goods and Services: The group recorded 6.8% of prices,
an increase of 0.36% on the index was recorded. There has been a rise in prices
on subgroups: personal items, not included in other categories (22.7%) and personal
hygiene (6.5 percent).
