AgriTrade Hazelnut Processing Complex Opens in Lagodekhi
LLC AgriTrade, hazelnuts drying and storing complex, has opened in the village of Tela, Lagodekhi Municipality. The project was implemented with the support of TBC Bank and USAID. The complex has employed residents.
The complex will process 1000 tons of hazelnuts a month to export products to China, Israel, and Mexico. The complex buys raw materials from local farmers.
The particular agro credit project was initiated by the Georgian Agriculture Ministry to supply cheap and long-term money resources to farmers and peasants for improving primary and processing production and storing-sales activities.
So far, TBC Bank has invested more than 500 million GEL in the agriculture sector development, and TBC Bank emerges a leading Georgia bank in terms of agribusiness promotion.
