“The court satisfied my claim and ruled that during my term as the chairman of the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) no abuse or sexual harassment occurred. Moreover, the court ordered Ekaterine Meskhidze to deny through various TV companies the false and slanderous allegations she made a year ago. Her slander tarnished my reputation and more importantly, cast a shadow on her former colleagues – NAPR employees,” stated Papuna Ugrekhelidze.
In 2018, Mr. Ugrekhelidze was accused of sexual harassment by his former employee, Ekaterine Meskhidze. In response, Papuna Ugrekhelidze who was then the chairman of NAPR filed a letter of resignation to Tea Tsulukiani, Minister of Justice of Georgia.
