Sony Music Publishing Removes Georgia from Russia's Coverage

Sony Music Publishing (which owns one-third of the world's musical heritage) has removed Georgia from Russia's coverage.

According to the information provided by Georgian Copyright Association, Sony will cover the musical scene of Georgia through Poland's office instead of Russia.

"From now on, both Universal and Sony catalogs are directly managed by our association, and Russia no longer covers Georgia, as it was before.

This news is not only politically essential but is also a crucial matter in the terms of artists' perspectives. From now on, Georgian artists have the opportunity to individually establish a connection with "Sony Music Publishing" and become part of the global music network."
