Norwegian Embassy to be Opened in Georgia for the First Time

Newly appointed ambassador,  Helene Sand Andresen presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Davit Zalkaniani.

As the Ministry declares, the decision made upon opening the embassy was announced during Davit Zalkaniani's visit in Norway.

"On the meeting with ambassador, the readiness of deepening economic, political and industrial relations between Georgia and Norway. 

Davit Zalkaniani delivered information to the ambassador about harsh circumstances aroused by occupied territories and endeavor of Georgia to solve the conflict with pacific settlements.

As Helene Sand Andresen mentioned, Norway supports the sovereignty of Georgia, territorial wholeness, European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and democratic transformation of the country.
