Meri Chichiashvili-Sikmashvili's Art - World of Miniatures

Meri Chichiashvili-Sikmashvili is a Georgian artist, who creates mesmerizing miniature art.

"It has been 2 years since I started making miniatures. I could never have imagined that I would be able to work on such small figures. Today, it is what gives me pleasure, and has allowed me to overcome a lot of stress, depression. It has become my daily routine.", noted Meri Chichiashvili Sikmashvili.

"The working process is immensely enjoyable. Many people have said to me to work with molds since I would spend much less time. However, for me working with molds is a lifeless process. The more energy we use to create something, the more "alive" the result is, the more it vibrates and has a positive effect on a person's mood."

As for the working process, she mentioned that she uses everything for material she can get her hands on.

"Once, I used cornflour on the effect of the concrete yard. I generally use food products often for a variety of effects. The work process can take several days. Everything has its stages. If you hurry, you may ruin something and then you'll have to start all over again."

Additionally, she also pointed out her first main inspirational source.

"I got inspired by my mother and grandmother to start creating miniature art. The death of my grandmother and mother caused me great pain. Their longing made me start it all."

She noted that she will share even more interesting news in the future.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the strangers and acquaintances who do not spare kind words. I receive lots of warm letters, which affect me, give me strength and motivation. I honestly say that all these people have made a great contribution to the advancement of my creativity."
