MediClubGeorgia Obtains JCI Accreditation
In December 2020, Medical Center MediClubGeorgia successfully passed the JOINT COMMISSION INTERNATIONAL (JCI) reaccreditation audit and was granted international accreditation for the second time.
Since 2017, MediClubGeorgia is the only medical center in Georgia that is accredited by JCI and fully meets the highest international quality and patient safety standards. MediClubGeorgia is among 621 hospitals with the same accreditation around the world.
JOINT COMMISSION INTERNATIONAL is an affiliated company and international branch of THE JOINT COMMISSION (TJC) - the largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. JCI accreditation is recognized as the gold standard in the global health care community. Health care organizations that have met JCI’s exacting standards can proudly display the Gold Seal of Approval® as a sign of this distinctive accomplishment.
In December 2020, JCI survey team conducted a rigorous survey at MediClubGeorgia to evaluate the hospital’s compliance with the international standards related to inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. The audit addressed all aspects of services such as International Patient Safety Goals, Assessment and Care of Patients, Medication Management and Use, Prevention and Control of Infections, Anesthesia and Surgical Care, Laboratory and Instrumental Diagnostics, Nursing Care, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Patient and Family Education and Rights, Bioethics, Access to Care and Continuity of Care, Management of Information, Completeness of Medical Records, Staff Qualification and Education, Facility Management and Safety, Governance, Leadership and Direction, Training Resource Center Activity.
