Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgia's Prime Minister Resigns

Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, has resigned form his position.

Members of the ruling party discussed the planned government changes at a parliamentary majority meeting yesterday, but lawmakers did not specify details.

Bakhtadze has served as the country's Prime Minister since 20 June 2018. He had previously served as Minister of Finance and, prior to that, executive director of the Georgian Railway company.
