HarperCollins to Publish Nino Kharatishvili's New Novel - The Lack of Light

Nino Kharatishvili's yet unreleased novel The Lack of Light will be published by one of the largest English-language publishing companies, HarperCollins. 

 

The book tells the story of four Georgian girls - Keto, Nene, Dina, and Ina. The story setting takes place around the 1990s in the Sololaki district of Tbilisi.

Apart from HarperCollins, the novel has been copyrighted by nine other countries, including Georgia. The book is translated into Georgian by Maia Panjikidze and published by Intellect.

 

Nino Haratischwili is a Georgia born German novelist, playwright, and theater director. She has received numerous awards, including the Adelbert von Chamisso Prize, the Kranichsteiner Literaturpreis, and the Literaturpreis des Kulturkreises der deutschen Wirtschaft.
