Georgian Enthusiast Creates Tbilisi 3D Map for Online Games

Now you can make your dreams come true and walk-in Tbilisi streets in online games. Beso Gotsiridze started creating the Tbilisi Streets 3D map.

As the interior designer, Beso always wanted to create a map of Georgia, where speed lovers and other people would have the opportunity to walk on the territory of Georgia. Therefore, he decided to spend his free time creating the map in real sizes.

“At the outset, I worked on only Saakadze Square, and this working process brought so sweet feelings, that I decided to create a bigger map. I have always loved automobiles and I have even won several competitions in go-cart races. I was participating in SIMRACING (online games), namely the Italian game Assetto Corsa that is the best online simulator. I have been working on the map, 3D model, and visualization alone. Friends help in testing, improving, and popularizing the system. Tbilisi 3D may is usable in other games too such as GTA, LFS, and so on. I fulfill the job without financial assistance. I would be happy if someone buys this map (for other games) or takes AD space or proposes some good offer because I could expand the map in size faster! At this stage, I am developing the traffic signs and traffic directions on the Tbilisi 3D map that will enable beginner drivers to pass online training for tests. I plan to introduce the map into the v0.7 online server in September, where all interested persons will have the opportunity to enter the system.

Further, I have been also developing Tbilisi telephone versions together with programmers”, Beso Gotsiridze said.
