Georgian Actresses Win the Main Prize at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival

At the 56th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the main prize for the best actress was awarded to two actresses, Taki Mumladze and Mariam Khundadze, for playing the roles of Tina and Megi in the movie "A Room of My Own".

The film is directed by Soso Bliadze, the work is a joint German-Georgian production.

The new feature film depicts the period of the pandemic and the episodes in the lives of two young girls.

Soso Bliadze's first feature film "The Death of Otari" was named the best film at the Tbilisi International Film Festival in 2021, and became the winner of the critics' prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. At the 16th Batumi Film Festival, "The Death of Otari" received the jury prize, and Nutsa Kukhianidze, who performed the leading role, was awarded for the performance of the best female role.
