Ezo Festival Fined with 10,000 GEL
Mzesumzira electronic music festival was fined with 10,000 Lari.
"This is one of the rarest occasions when we have to share unfortunate news.
Despite strict adherence to all the rules, which Ministry of Healthcare informed us at the meeting on June 29th and which, according to them, aimed at easing the existing regulations, Mzesumzira was still fined with 10,000 GEL on 17th July.
The reason is that the new regulations do not include electronic music in the list of cultural events and every regulation, of which we incurred additional financial costs, turned out to be in vain, as well as their promise that if we would follow all the measures taken, we would not be fined.
Given the current activities in the country, we believe that in this case we are dealing with the selective law and we are going to prove our truth through the court.
The event planned on July 24th is canceled.
Those wishing to return the tickets can text us.
Also, the ones, who have already bought the tickets, can reserve it for our next event.
Such a selective approach is threatening the existence of this industry, which is inadmissible because of its importance.
In the coming days, Georgian clubs and music festivals will issue a joint statement.
We love you and we believe that we will meet again soon.", is written in the statement.
