Ethnocenter opens in Zugdidi Skate Park on July 29
A new project "Ethnocenter - for the development of traditional handicrafts in Zugdidi Municipality" will be officially opened in Zugdidi Skate Park on July 29th.
The placement of pavilions is in its final stage. Zugdidi Municipality Mayor, Giorgi Shengelia got acquainted with the working process on-site.
According to the Zugdidi City Hall, the project aims at promoting business skills and improving the sales environment of traditional craft producers, while implementing the relevant events to popularize traditional craft.
"The project is also important in terms of tourism development.
The idea that there could be a space implemented in Zugdidi, where entrepreneurs could sell their products, belongs to local producers. The project is financially supported by the Zugdidi Municipality, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).", announced statement reads.
