Education Minister presented the project "Art School" at the National Museum

Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia presented the project "Art School" at the National Museum.

The goal of the project is to enhance the cultural component in general education institutions and the diversity of school life. The aim of the planned reform in the education system is to integrate national culture into the system.

The program is being implemented in May, in the framework of the "New School" model. The program "School Museum" implies the use of Georgian National Museum collection as a learning resource. The program will be implemented in three museums. Within the framework of educational programs, the field specialists have already selected museum exhibits.

The program has already begun in pilot mode and 808 pupils of VII-XI class of different schools participated in it.

The project is implemented in the "School Theater" and "Movie School".
