Construction Works on Olympic Size Pool to be Underway in Kutaisi

Construction works on the Olympic size pool are already underway in Kutaisi. The project is implemented by the Asian Development Bank and its total budget amounts to 8,3 million GEL. 

"It is a significant infrastructure, which will serve both professionals and a future generation. Kutaisi has remarkable traditions in water sports and this Olympic pool will be a new incentive to further develop this direction. It is important that the pool fully meets modern requirements, both in terms of sizes and necessary infrastructure.", noted the minister, Irakli Karseladze.

It will also be possible to use special services for the restoration of athletes' physical condition and rehabilitation of injuries.

Apart from Kutaisi, construction works are carried out in Akhaltsikhe, Rustavi, and Zugdidi.
