Cavea Cinemas from Georgia Introduces First-ever ScreenX
On November 14st, Cavea Cinemas opens up a new theater in the Saburtalo district, Tbilisi, introducing the ScreenX technology for the first time in the whole region.
The agreement signed between Cavea and ScreenX will introduce Georgian movie-goers to the panoramic, 270 degree viewing experience. By expanding the center screen onto the side walls of the auditorium, the movie-goers can enjoy a whole new level of movie-watching and storytelling, three screens at once.
ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection cinema technology, breaking the traditional rule of movie-watching. In the region, including Ukraine and Russia, Georgia will be the first country to introduce the ScreenX and its opening in Tbilisi will be debuted by “Ford v Ferrari”
Ford v Ferrari is a 2019 American biographical drama film directed by James Mangold. The plot follows an eccentric, determined team of American engineers and designers, led by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby and his British driver, Ken Miles, who are dispatched by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca with the mission of building the Ford GT40, a new racing car with the potential to finally defeat the perennially dominant Ferrari racing team at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.
With ScreenX scenes extending the spectacular visuals of “Ford v Ferrari”, the innovative 270° projection will provide the fantastic movie-watching experience ever before.
