Camera Operator Giorgi Shvelidze became Member of American Film Academy
Georgian operator Giorgi Shvelidze has been elected as a new member of the American Film Academy this year.
This achievement was preceded by getting the main prize of cinematographers' community awards for his work at Georgian successful film ''Namme''.
"The American Film Academy, which is behind Oscar award ceremonies, has been focusing on enlargement for more and more countries and people to become a more inclusive organization," the statement posted on the website reads.
The 842 new members of the cinematography are from 59 different countries, their 50% are female, 50 - male.
