16-Year-Old Georgian Girl Awarded the Title of Master by the World Chess Federation

16-year-old Diana Lomaia won the title of Master of the World Women's Chess Federation (FIDE).

She became a FIDE Master after winning the Women's First League in April. Diana was officially awarded the status of Master today.

"I played in April. I participated in the first women's league and took the first place," Diana said.

As she told On.ge, she has been playing chess for 12 years since she was 4 years old.
