Zara, Bershka, Marks&Spencer – Stores that are to Work without Fitting rooms

Zara, Bershka, Marks&Spencer, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius stores will resume operation without fitting rooms, Rezo Maghalashvili, director of Retail Group Georgia Company and official representative of international brands in Georgia, noted.

Under the new international regulations, fitting rooms will be removed from stores and clients will not be able to try on cloths at stores, he said.

“We have gained good experience in other countries, where we opened our stores. For example, we plan to remove fitting rooms and extend the return-changing procedure timeframes or give a longer period to clients to return clothes. The returned products will be placed in special disinfection zones for 48 hours and then the products will be placed to the distribution stores. We have already taken due steps to neutralize any risks that are related to fitting rooms and changing clothes.

Considering all these factors, we will provide valuable safety standards, as many other sectors have done”, Rezo Maghalashvili noted.

As for state regulations and protocols, we comply with these requirements by 100%, the Retail Group Georgia director noted.

“We fully satisfy the existing recommendations for disinfection barriers, distant thermometers, queue signs, the limitued number of entering clients per square meter. We also abide by protocols on infection doubts. In this case, the whole staff goes to quarantine or self-isolation and their salaries will be maintained”, the Retail Group Georgia director noted.

“Resumption of municipal transport operation will assist us in restarting our businesses too… At this stage, the main thing is to open our stores, even under strict regulations”, Maghalashvili noted.
