VEON Georgia, Announces New General Director

Lasha Tabidze has stepped down from his role as General Director of VEON Georgia, the owner of the Beeline brand, effective March 1. Vasil Berishvili, who previously held the position of Financial Director since 2015, has been appointed as the new General Director.

It is worth noting that last year, CBS Group acquired 100% ownership of "VEON Georgia" or "Beeline". According to CBS Group founder Khvicha Makatsaria, negotiations with LetterOne, the previous owner of VEON, took three years to complete due to the war in Ukraine, but the transaction was eventually finalized, and "Beeline" is now fully operational.

At present, Beeline offers 2G GSM 900/1800MHz, 3G 2100MHz, and 4G 800/1800MHz wireless services to 1.4 million customers. A rebranding of the company has been announced.
