Veliani Cheese - Company Producing Georgian Dairy Products Since 2014

Veliani Cheese was founded in 2014. The company benefited from preferential agro credit and initially started functioning.

As its founder, Mikheil Matiashvili mentions with CBW, he specializes in livestock farming. Since 1990, his family owns a farm.

"We had a local breed of cow. In 2019, I bought a high-yielding dairy cow. As for the pandemic, it hindered us."

The company produces Georgian cheese products, butter, sour cream. In 2016, the company introduced the HACCP system (HASP). It is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement, and handling, to manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product.

As for the future plans, Veliani Cheese plans to expand and add new varieties and lactic acid products.
