Tiflistex To Be on EU Market

Sock producing Georgian company TiflisTex is exporting the product with Made in Georgia label in Greece and Azerbaijan.

"We export our product in two countries, one of them is a member of the EU. That means, that we are already on the EU's market. Approximately 1 Million stocks are exported in 1 year.", noted general director of TiflisTex, Giorgi Gachechiladze.

As he says, because of being on the international market, devaluation had a little impact on the company.

He also mentioned, that "Enterprise in Georgia" helped to actuate the industrial unit. But the main part is still maintaining production.

"Opening the industrial unit, we invested 6 million GEL and at this moment, we have 55 employees. It is utterly important for competition between local and import companies to be fair."
