The Oil and Gas Corporation Plans to Build Another Thermal Power Plant

Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation announces an international price inquiry for the construction of the third gas combined cycle thermal power plant "Gardabani 3".

The new thermal power plant will be built on the territory of Gardabani 1 and Gardabani 2. The contractor company is obliged to staff at least 50% of the personnel required for the construction with Georgian citizens. 

The construction of a new thermal power plant is a project which has strategic importance and will make the functioning of the energy system more reliable: It will significantly improve the energy security of the country and will reduce the dependence on imported electricity.
