Tegeta Holding Appoints Tamar Tsiklauri as Legal Director
Tegeta Holding has announced the appointment of Tamar Tsiklauri as its first legal director. Tsiklauri, a young lawyer with 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors, will now lead the legal direction of one of Georgia's largest companies.
Tegeta's legal department is responsible for providing legal support to its more than 30 subsidiary companies, including international ones, making it a significant role. Tsiklauri, who spent almost 10 years in the public sector before joining Tegeta, was involved in the reform process of the public registry and played a key role in the development of the online business registration system.
Tsiklauri started working at Tegeta in 2018 and became head of the legal department just one year later, before being appointed as legal director in 2022. Speaking about his new role, Tsiklauri acknowledged the responsibility that comes with being the first lawyer of such a large company, but added that he was excited to take on the challenge.
Tsiklauri's team is tasked with leading the company's internal business processes, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, managing cases and archives, and handling legal issues. One of their key goals is to fully automate the document turnover of the holding, and they are currently working on an application to enable production of any document by phone.
Looking ahead, Tsiklauri aims to improve processes, establish uniform approaches and standards across the company, and robotize certain functions to improve efficiency. He also plans to continue the de-papering project across the entire holding, with the ultimate goal of eliminating paper in all subsidiaries.
Tegeta Holding has set ambitious goals for the year, and with Tsiklauri at the helm, it is well-positioned to achieve them.
