Tegeta Becomes Official Representative of Bridgestone in Azerbaijan
Georgian automotive company Tegeta has officially introduced the world-renowned Bridgestone brand to the Azerbaijani market, becoming its exclusive representative in the country. The partnership agreement, which came into effect in January, enables Tegeta to supply Bridgestone tires for passenger cars, trucks, and special-purpose vehicles to Azerbaijan.
To mark this milestone, Tegeta hosted an official presentation in Baku at the Four Seasons Hotel, where company representatives shared details of the agreement with partners and customers. The event was attended by local government officials, business leaders, and major corporate representatives, as well as delegations from Tegeta and Bridgestone.
Ekaterine Kavtaradze, CEO of Tegeta Holding, emphasized the significance of this collaboration:
"We are proud to present the premium brand Bridgestone, our 26-year partner, to the Azerbaijani market. Bridgestone was one of the first international brands to enter the Caucasus region through a partnership with Tegeta, and today, we have been entrusted with regional dealership rights. Our vision is to expand access to high-quality, reliable products while strengthening Tegeta’s position in the region as a trusted supplier and partner with 30 years of business experience."
At the event, 150 guests learned about the range of services that "Tegeta Motors Baku" offers in partnership with Bridgestone.
Bridgestone’s Regional Director for the Middle East, CIS, and PAF, Samuel Massard, highlighted the importance of the partnership:
"Expanding our collaboration with Tegeta is a major step for us. This partnership allows us to offer Bridgestone’s premium tires to the Caucasus market, ensuring that our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation reaches an even wider audience. Our 26-year partnership with Tegeta reflects our shared goal of making high-quality automotive products more accessible."
Tegeta Motors has been operating in Baku for nearly a decade, providing comprehensive automotive services and products in retail, corporate, and wholesale sectors. This year, the company plans to sell 100,000 Bridgestone tires in Azerbaijan and gradually expand its branch network.
Aleksandre Beroshvili, Director of Tegeta Motors Baku, emphasized the growing business ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan:
"The launch of Bridgestone in Azerbaijan is another confirmation of the strengthening cooperation between the business sectors of our two countries. Tegeta Motors opened its first branch in Baku in 2017, and since then, we have been delivering high-quality auto services and products to local customers. Now, in partnership with Bridgestone, we are introducing premium tires for a variety of vehicles, with services tailored for both retail and wholesale customers, as well as businesses in the mining and logistics industries."
