Startup PLAMOOD Wins 100,000 GEL Grant
Plamood is a digital platform created for people who love sports.
On Plamood, one can create their own team, invite friends as teammates, or join the squad that fits them best. Creating single challenges and participating in competitions is also part of the services, that Plamood offers its customers.
The co-founder of the company, Vakhtang Davlasheridze noted, that there is no exact analogue of the platform both in Georgia and the rest of the world, where all the mentioned services are available. Currently, the website is operating in test mode. During the first testing, an amateur championship was held where 16 teams participated and during this period more than 1200 users registered.
"Georgia is a good start to get to know our product, get feedback, refine processes since we connect real and digital life. We are in the constant learning process while operating the platform. However, in the future, we definitely plan to enter markets of other countries, for example, Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries, and then we plan to go global.
GITA's grant will help our platform and mobile application to refine them and run a marketing campaign.
"The most important thing is not only financial assistance, but a lot of experience gained in this process, we have been trained with international mentors, so distinguishing our startup from them and becoming the best gives us even more motivation to develop the project.", mentioned Vakhtang Davlasheridze.
The startup has 4 founders. Before GITA, Plamood's team participated in Impact Hub's program, which helped them to form the idea and become acquainted with international evaluation criteria.
