Silknet Presents “Actors for Literature”

For the fifth consecutive year, Silknet has presented the project "Actors for Literature" at the 25th International Book Festival in Tbilisi. Taking place in the 6th pavilion of Expo Georgia, the event featured 30 actors who presented over 50 books to the audience. Alongside authors, young literature enthusiasts from the Literary Club "Literatos," the Musical Seminar, and members of "Our School" actively participated in the festival's vibrant scene.

Through the "Actors for Literature" initiative, Silknet remains committed to enriching the reading experience and captivating audiences in a unique manner.

The talented actors delivered captivating performances of excerpts from various literary works, offering expressive interpretations that immersed readers in the world of literature and revealed new dimensions to beloved stories.

Notable actors such as Ana Nikolaishvili, Ana Tkebuchava, Kakha Kintsurashvili, Baia Dvalishvili, Giorgi Sharvashidze, Manana Kazakova, Mariam Jologhua, Tika Laghidze, Nato Murvanidze, Zaal Chikobava, Taki Mumladze, Keti Khitiri, and others were among this year's participants. Nino Kasradze, the driving force behind the project, assembled the actors for this project. Silknet has consistently supported and promoted "Actors for Literature" for the past five years, contributing to the cultural enrichment of the community. It is worth noting that recordings of the festival days will be uploaded to the Silk TV video library, accessible free of charge on Silk TV, SilkGo applications, and the website silktv.ge.

In a notable first, this year's festival included the presentation of the National Geographic magazine on its stage. Accomplished actors brought specific articles from the Georgian editions of this esteemed international publication to life. All participants were gifted National Geographic magazines courtesy of Silknet.

Over the past decade, Silknet has partnered with National Geographic Georgia magazine, providing readers with valuable access to current archaeological, scientific, and social news in the Georgian language, keeping them informed about global events.

Education accessibility is a core focus for Silknet, which is reflected in the implementation of various projects. One such recent endeavor is the National Geographic Audio Stories, which offers audio articles from the magazine. Individuals can access these materials through their preferred devices, including the SilkGo platform, the web portal silktv.ge, or the SilkTV service. Renowned actors engage audiences with engaging articles, and those interested in accessing full recordings of the speakers can find them in SilkTV's video library and the SilkGo App Videoteka.
