Self-employed Individuals to Receive One-time Compensation Amid Covid-19 Crisis

Self-employed people with small businesses who have used the cash register at least once will receive a one-time assistance of 300 GEL.

According to the Deputy Minister of Finance, small business entrepreneurs are identified according to the declaration submitted by them in the first quarter of 2020 or the use of the cash register.

"If a person with the status of a small entrepreneur has submitted a declaration at least once in the first quarter of 2020, or at least once has used a cash register, that individual can receive a one-time compensation (300 GEL)," said the deputy finance minister.

According to him, up to 150,000 self-employed people have already been identified who will not need to submit proof of income.

It will be easier for individuals employed in the markets to receive a one-time compensation. As well as fixed taxpayers.

Applicants must submit an application for compensation to the Ministry of Health by June 1.
