Sapovnela Has Expansion Plans
Family business started in a pandemic is preparing for expansion. Sapovnela is a company which produces natural self-care products. At this moment, it is mainly sold in Kakheti.
The brand is available in the local salons but plans to enter the pharmacy chains after the addition of employes and appropriate laboratory license.
"At first, we were making soaps and other natural self-care products for personal use, but during the pandemic, we decided to turn this into the business. The feedback is quite positive, the demand is also growing and I think, that I should take this issue more seriously. Only my mother and I are involved in this process so far, however, we are thinking of expansion and employing additional people.", the founder of Sapovnela noted.
Sapovnela is presented on the market with 6 different types of products. The raw material for making handmade, fragrant, natural self-care products are mainly imported.
"It is difficult to get raw material in Georgia, since the necessary product is not brought to the market. Perhaps, we are making rose and lavender oil with the local raw material, and we want to contribute to expanding the market for small farmers.", stated Eto Javakhishvili.
