Rural Development Agency Accepting Applications for Aid to Farmers Affected by Heavy Snowfall

The Rural Development Agency (RDA) has begun accepting applications for financial assistance from beneficiaries affected by heavy snowfall in Imereti and Guria regions in February 2025. Applications can be submitted from July 22 to November 30, 2025.

Applications under the program “Assistance to Farms Affected by Heavy Snowfall in Guria and Imereti Regions” are accepted at the RDA’s central office, regional offices, and information and consulting centers. Beneficiaries may also submit applications via email at document@rda.gov.ge.

Financial assistance is available to beneficiaries of the “State Program for Modernization and Market Access in the Dairy Industry”, the “Pilot Program for Women”, and the “Processing and Storage Enterprises Co-financing Program”. Aid is also provided to beneficiaries who have established a processing and/or storage enterprise, livestock farm (cattle or small livestock), or greenhouse farm under the preferential agrocredit project.

The program offers one-time financial assistance as follows:

• 25,000 GEL for greenhouse farms

• 40,000 GEL for livestock (cattle or small livestock) farms

• 100,000 GEL for storage and/or processing enterprises

The RDA emphasized that co-financing will be provided only after the damaged facility has been fully restored by the beneficiary.
