Rooms in Abastumani – Adjara Group Buys Building of Old Sanatorium
Adjara Group has entered Abastumani under the brand of Rooms, Adjara Group executive director Valeri Chekheria noted at the presentation of the tourism sector research by TBC Capital.
The Rooms has been working on developing the brand. Therefore, Abastumani has been selected as a location for the new hotel, Valeri Chekheria noted.
On October 6 Adjara Group bought the building of Old Sanatorium and plans to open Rooms hotel there, he added.
We remind you that the Georgian Dream leader and ex Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili unveiled his plans for Abastumani 2 years ago.
In the first quarter of 2019 Bidzina Ivanishvili bought the biggest state-owned property in Abastumani, namely the former Tuberculosis Hospital on Paliashvili Street no 40 and the land around the building of 23 585 square meters. Ivanishvili paid 3.5 million GEL for the property. The complex will unite one hotel and two residential houses.
Moreover, BM.GE has learned that in Abastumani the Co-Investment Fund of Bidzina Ivanishvili will spend 34 million USD in constructing Autograph Collection hotel, a 5-star hotel with 170 suites. The construction works will be finished in spring 2020.
Autograph Collection hotel is being constructed on the territory of Tsisartkela Sanatorium on about 25 000 square meter space. The hotel will supposedly open in 2021.
