Rera to Launch New Enterprise
Rera brand plans to launch a new enterprise in June 2020. The company supplies semi-finished goods to the premium segment.
The project’s investment value is about 1 million EUR. The great portion of the sum is mobilized by the founders. Another part of the sum was attracted from the Enterprise Georgia program. The enterprise will launch operation in Didi Dighomi.
“We are expanding our business. We have built a new enterprise to produce 300 tons of products a month. The output will respond to the real demand. We expect additional investments through Enterprise Georgia program”, Rera sales manager Nika Lomidze noted.
Rera products are sold at network stores and the so-called Ward Markets all over Georgia.
The demand is high for about 150 tons a month. The sales are growing, the Rera sales manager explained.
“We apply shock-freezing at -40 degree. As a result, bacteria cannot penetrate the product, but when making a product it is boiled and treated thermally. It should be noted that bacteria die at +70 degree”, Nika Lomidze noted.
As for challenges, difficulties have arisen after the raw materials have increased in price.
‘We primarily depend on imports. Price of raw materials has essentially increased in the countries, from where we import raw materials. However, we have not revised prices on main products”, the sale manger pointed out.
Growing production scales will affect agriculture products consumption too, Mika Lomidze noted.
“We buy dairy products of 1-milion GEL a year. The figure will rise to 5 million GEL at the end of 2020”, Nika Lomidze said.
Co-funded by the Enterprise Georgia state program, Rera launched operation in 2016. At this stage, Rera employs about 150 persons, but the company plans to increase the figure to 200 persons.
