Production of Exotic Fruit Compotes and Dried Tropical Fruit Starts in Georgia

Loladzeebi's farm has been producing exotic agricultural products on the Georgian market for already 5 years. Mini Kiwi, Okra, Pepino, Kiwano, Physalis - these are the products that the farm had already started to develop, and soon Mexican black corn was to be sold on the Georgian market.

However, due to the pandemic, they are not able anymore to cultivate exotic fruit in Georgia. Currently, the company sells seedlings, which are quite popular in high mountainous regions.

"We are selling seedlings of mini kiwis now, which can withstand temperature changes and are frost tolerant as well. We have marked out that the demand for the seeds has increased a lot.", noted Lasha Loladze.

Loladzeebi's farm recently opened a restaurant "La Center" in Lagodekhi Center, which presents a menu of exotic agricultural products. Currently, the restaurant is closed since they are waiting for the tourist season.

"If our exotic fruit will not be sold, we have a backup plan too. In that case, we will move to make dried fruit and compote from them.", noted the founder of Loladzeebi's farm, Lasha Loladze.
