Payze Partnered with E-commerce Giants Shopify and Wix.com

Georgian fintech company Payze has become a partner of two e-commerce giants, Shopify and Wix.com, - Payze co-founder, Gega Tsurtsumia, said in a conversation with BM.GE. From now on, business owners and individual entrepreneurs will be able to create a website for their activities on these platforms and receive online payments through Payze, both in Georgia and Uzbekistan.

"We decided to cooperate with these companies in light of the growing demand for e-commerce. In recent years, businesses are starting their activities digitally and trying to get to online channels in every way, but most of them are online stores. Some find it hard to build a shop at all, and the others find it expensive and as a result, they get a rather low-quality shop - consequently, there was a demand for content management systems (English Content Management System - CMS), such as Shopify and Wix. You can set up an online store on these platforms using ready-made modules tested many times - everything depends on your creativity", says Gega Tsurtsumia.

Bm.ge also asked the Payze co-founder about the development of the relationship with the e-commerce giant, and as it turns out, the integration process has been underway for months. “The integration with Shopify and Wix was quite difficult and initially, due to high demand, this functionality was closed. In this direction, the contacts we received from Y Combinator helped us - we went to one of the executives who opened the door for us. After that, it took almost six months for our team to go through all the stages," Gega Tsurtsumia says.

We remind you that Payze is one of the most successful Georgian startups, which won the competitions organized by 500 Startups and Visa shortly after its establishment. In addition, Payze is the first Georgian startup that was included in the acceleration program of Y Combinator, the world's leading startup accelerator, based in Silicon Valley. Today, Payze operates in Georgia and Uzbekistan.
