Ownership of "Zedazeni" Brewery Set to Change Hands

The ownership of "Georgian Beer Company," which produces "Zedazeni," one of Georgia's largest beer and non-alcoholic beverage brands, is undergoing a change. The news was confirmed by information released by the Competition Agency.

According to the agency, "Daily" LLC, a rapidly growing supermarket group, will become the new owner of "Zedazeni." Earlier in the summer of 2024, "Daily" LLC received approval from the Competition Agency to merge with "Foodmart," encompassing the "Spar" and "Ioli" supermarket chains.

Based on "Zedazeni'" 2023 financial report, the company’s assets are valued at 152 million GEL, with an annual revenue of 113.6 million GEL and a net profit of 1.8 million GEL. "Zedazeni" was established in 2011 by businessman Cesar Chocheli.
