Opening of the First Hilton Brand hotel in Tbilisi Depends on the Pandemic Dynamics

The opening of the first Hilton brand hotel in Tbilisi depends on the end of the pandemic. The project belongs to businessman Lasha Papashvili's company "Redix Group".

According to the businessman with "Business Partner", the construction of the hotel is completed, but it does not make sense to open it until there are tourists.

The opening date of the hotel has changed several times. The first Hilton hotel in the capital was to open first in February 2020 and then in March.

Hilton Garden inn.'s businessman Lasha Papashvili built it on Chavchavadze Avenue with the co-financing of the EBRD. The investment cost of the project is USD 31 million. The construction of a 14-storey hotel, which will house 165 rooms, will be aimed at the middle segment and business travelers.

The hotel under the Hilton brand already operates in Batumi, which opened in 2015. The second Hilton brand hotel will be opened in the former building of the Agricultural Hotel in Tbilisi. Businessman Davit Kodua plans to build a hotel under the same brand on Melikishvili Avenue in Tbilisi.
