“Now I Digitize My Talents and Share Them With Others” – A Skillwill Graduate’s Path to Digital Independence
Skillwill Graduate Success Stories – Digital skills as a catalyst for personal business development. How does knowledge in social media management and digital marketing transform the everyday reality of self-employed professionals?
What new opportunities emerge in the process? “Business Partner” explores these questions in its weekly column “Learn What’s Really Useful.” This week’s guest is social media manager Nini Barnabishvili.
“About 10 years ago, I decided to open a beauty salon. I personally took care of writing service descriptions and photographing the salon’s offerings. From the start, I was committed to originality—every caption had to be engaging, and every photo was taken by me, not found online.
As the salon grew and I needed to expand the team, I realized I required professional support. But outsourcing meant higher costs, and more importantly, it took away a job I genuinely enjoyed and did well. So I decided to dive deeper into social media management myself.”
That’s when she discovered Skillwill.
“Around two years ago, a friend of mine who had completed a Skillwill course recommended it. At the time, I had a full-time job and little free time, but Skillwill’s recorded lectures made it easy to learn at my own pace. I could access any lecture anytime. The lecturers were responsive and helpful—even when I had technical issues, they assisted right away.”
Nini first enrolled in a Social Media Management course.
“Initially, I thought that’s all I needed. But as I progressed, I realized I needed to learn more—so I also took the Digital Marketing course. Now, I’ve completed both.”
Looking back, she says the best decision was leaving her job to focus on her own business.
“Working in the digital space is incredibly dynamic and exciting. It evolves constantly, and you need to stay up to date because things can change overnight. We’re now much closer to our customers than ever before.
The flexibility is a huge advantage—I can work from anywhere, at any time. Instead of feeling stressed, I’m more creative and invested in my work. I believe I’ve built up enough knowledge and experience to remain in the digital space and offer my services to other companies.”
