MONTI – First Georgian Brand of Men’s Clothing Line Founded amid Pandemic
Amid the global pandemic, the probability of outflow of famous clothing brands from the Georgian market and closed borders affecting the imports have inspired us to establish MONTI, the first Georgian brand of men’s clothing line, the company founder Tengo Kazishvili noted.
“Two years ago I founded a brand store of leather accessories, where we offer belts, wallets, and various other products to men. From the very beginning, my objective was to develop a full-fledged men’s clothing line. The global pandemic has accelerated the process of implementing by the business idea because I guessed the demand for domestic production would grow because of restricted imports and as a result of the outflow of famous clothing brands from the Georgian market”, MONTI founder Tengo Kazishvili said.
MONTI style was created by Kazishvili himself. In general, the men’s clothing line remains unemployed in Georgia and only Hoods are offered to men at various showrooms. „There was a free niche. Furthermore, in my everyday working process, when meeting with representatives of other companies, I always wanted them to wear clothes of my brand”, the NOTI founder noted.
The initial investment marked around GEL 10,000. Later, the company carried out reinvestments. MONTI has been created for people who give preference to sartorial elegance in everyday life. High quality, affordable prices on the Georgian market, and stillness are MONTI’s competitive advantage. “Furthermore, we produce our collection in limited volumes and they are not repeated and this is much advantage”, Kazishvili said. At this stage, the MONTI collection is represented at the showroom on Paliashvili Street in Tbilisi. The company plans to open its branded store soon. “In our spring collection we also plan to add women’s line and in 2021 we plan to launch exports”, Tengo Kazishvili told BM.GE.
