Fifteen years ago, Otar Koberidze sowed the seeds of his hazelnut empire in the village of Leliani. Back then, his humble farm spanned a mere three hectares.

Fast forward to today, and Koberidze presides over an expansive 17-hectare orchard. "If I don't visit for even two days, I start to feel unwell. If I didn't have a passion for this, I couldn't have achieved what I have," he confesses.

Located in the Lagodekhi region, Leliani offers an optimal climate for hazelnut cultivation, with its moderate rainfall and low humidity. Yet, Koberidze attributes much of his success to technological innovation. "It wasn't until I conducted soil analysis that I truly unlocked the orchard's potential," he explains. "Such analysis identifies deficiencies in both the soil and the plants, enabling targeted fertilization. Since implementing these modern techniques, my yields have doubled, even tripled."

But for Koberidze, technology's role is not limited to soil analysis. "Modern equipment is essential to achieving your objectives," he insists. "Whether you're fertilizing or pest-controlling, you won't get far without the right machinery."
