Mikheil Lomtadze Appointed Chairman of Turkish E-Commerce Platform Hepsiburada

Mikheil Lomtadze, CEO of Kazakh fintech giant Kaspi.kz, has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Turkish e-commerce platform Hepsiburada following Kaspi’s acquisition of a 65.41% controlling stake in the company for $1.1 billion.

The acquisition deal was finalized on January 29, 2025, solidifying Kaspi’s expansion into the Turkish digital commerce market.

As part of the new leadership structure, three other Kaspi representatives have joined the Hepsiburada board of directors:

• Yuri Didenko – Deputy Chairman of Kaspi
• Tengiz Mosidze – Chief Financial Officer of Kaspi
• Pavel Mironov – Senior Kaspi executive
• Sandro Berdzenishvili, head of Kaspi Pay and Mobile Commerce, has also joined the board.

Following the restructuring, the board of directors has been reduced to nine members.
