Mariam Jakeli from National Bank of Georgia Joined the EBRD Head Office

Mariam Jakeli, an employee of the Supervisory Policy Department of the National Bank of Georgia, will continue her work at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) headquarters in London.

"Always believe in your abilities and never stop learning," is the formula for her success.

Mariam Jakeli joined the team of the National Bank in 2018. She first worked in the Supervision of Non-Banking Institutions and then in the Supervision Policy Department, Corporate Governance and Resource Analysis Division. For 3 years, she was actively involved in the process of drafting and supervising new regulations for non-banking institutions, as well as in the process of drafting amendments to the Corporate Governance Code for commercial banks. Mariam participated in the International Monetary Fund technical mission and TWINNING projects.

Mariam holds a bachelor’s degree in International and Economic Relations from SUNY Empire State College.
