Khvicha Makatsaria Buys 100% of the Company Beeline

The owner of "Beeline" is changing in Georgia. Communications Commission approved the decision today. Khvicha Makatsaria, a Georgian businessman, becomes the company's 100% shareholder of the company, having applied to the commission on April 4 to purchase the shares.

The Communications Commission has approved the sale of a 100-100% stake in WaterTrail Industries and Investico Alliance, owned by Vion Georgia Holding B.V.

Pursuant to the Law of Georgia on Electronic Communications, the Communications Commission shall be notified of the intention to merge or acquire shares, stocks or operating assets prior to the merger or acquisition. The notification obligation rests with the authorized person participating in the merger or whose shares, stocks or operating assets are being acquired.

Under the law, the Communications Commission is authorized to approve the merger/acquisition within 15 days of receiving the notification of the authorized person regarding the merger or acquisition, in order to determine the possible impact on the competition in the relevant market segment, to decide on the transaction investigation.

Based on the study of the issue, the Communications Commission considered that the acquisition of shares of Khvicha Makatsaria by these companies will not affect the competition in the electronic communications market and the transaction is compatible with the competitive environment in the electronic communications market.

"Accordingly, the Communications Commission has made a decision to give prior consent to the alienation of shares," - said in a statement of the Communications Commission.
